Welcome to Bellis Counselling
Hello, I'm Lynn Bellis. As an experienced counsellor, I assist in improving mental health and wellbeing. If you or your loved ones experience low mood, depression, or anxiety, I provide support and practical tools. My integrative approach includes CBT, Person Centred Therapy, and Psychodynamic theories.

During counselling, I aim to help you feel comfortable and create a safe space for you to share anything you would like to. Our conversations are confidential, with a few exceptions.
If this is your first experience of counselling, it may feel daunting to ask for help, but taking care of yourself is important. Please consider booking an appointment.
Appointments are available most days, evenings, and weekends, either in Kelso or Galashiels, online, or by phone. For more information, you can try a free 30-minute introductory phone session or book your first session.

Counselling Sessions
Counselling sessions are confidential, and each time we decide the topics to discuss. Each session lasts 50 minutes, and typically 12 sessions are provided in total, which may vary based on individual needs. Exercises may be assigned for home practice of techniques, with follow-up discussions. This process aims to explore new ways of thinking, feeling, and behaving to support recovery progress.

The Bellis Logo
The daisy in my logo symbolises several important concepts. The daisy continues its growth irrespective of its environment.
Clients may experience this growth during sessions as we explore possible changes and they continue to develop self-awareness.

The daisy is a remarkably resilient flower, capable of surviving numerous dangers and overcoming obstacles. This resilience mirrors my approach to working with clients, fostering their ability to move forward after counselling sessions.

Lastly, the Latin name for the common daisy is “_Bellis Perennis_”. The daisy exhibits heliotropism, following the sun’s position in the sky. Similarly, I can often be found moving around my garden, capturing the last rays of sunlight.
